If you are a journalist interested in conducting an interview with a member, partner or collaborator of our IVADO community, please complete and submit this form.
Industrial membership
Are you interested in becoming an IVADO member and helping your organization enhance its digital intelligence processes? Before completing this form, please read the descriptions of the various services we can provide on this page.
We examine all duly completed forms. Given the high demand, please allow two to three weeks from the time you submit the form for a member of our team to contact you. It is very important that you properly complete the form so as to avoid unnecessary delays and ensure that your application is given priority.
Please also note the following:
- Smaller collaborative research projects generally cost $7,500, in addition to the annual membership fees (note: this amount assumes that MITACS Accelerate funding has been allocated and that your organization is eligible).
- Research tax credit programs can enable organizations to recover a portion of amounts invested in collaborative research.
Note: If you are already an IVADO member, please contact your advisor.
Training
In partnership with our training experts, we offer a diverse range of training options, such as summer schools, workshops, massive open online courses (MOOCs), and more. Please see this page for detailed information on our program. If you have any questions on this aspect, please ask them using the form.

Specific guidelines for requests pertaining to EDI
- Your initiative is aimed specifically at data science via promotion of Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics (STEM) if the target audience is not post-secondary.
- Your initiative clearly addresses an issue covered in our reference framework for EDI:AREA 1 – Talent: increase the participation and voice of groups that are underrepresented in digital intelligence* in order to broaden the talent pool and ideas that make up our ecosystem;
-
- *The underrepresented groups identified by the Canada Research Chairs Program are women, persons with disabilities, Indigenous peoples and members of visible minorities. However, we encourage members of other underrepresented groups not on that list to apply (e.g., LGBTQ2+ community, various socio-economic groups).
- AREA 2 – Institutions: understand and remove the structural and institutional barriers to the inclusion of these groups in their education and careers;
- AREA 3 – Knowledge: strengthen the quality, benefits and social relevance of training and research in digital intelligence by taking into account diversity and bias issues in knowledge production.
- You propose a clear solution to the issue in question. The solution must include objectives and outcome indicators that demonstrate concrete impacts relative to equity, diversity and inclusion.
- You will use our funding to address the EDI-related issue. Eligible expense categories include:
-
- Outreach;
- Engagement-Consultation-Dialogue;
- Awareness;
- Training;
- Research;
- Implementation of digital solutions promoting equity, diversity and inclusion.
-
Examples: communications, steering committee, consultative processes, follow-up with various communities, dialogue activities, listening-based processes, mentoring activities, etc.
- Your initiative is ongoing (we now only occasionally support one-time events).
- You will engage our IVADO human resources on strategic aspects only.
- As the applicant, you must demonstrate at least one commitment to equity, diversity and/or inclusion by your organization.
Examples: sound governance (gender-balanced, diverse board of directors or steering committee), inclusive communications, reference framework for EDI, documentation of profiles of participants in any type of activity within the organization, etc.
